Mike's Bike Shop is located on the beautiful Oregon Coast 75 miles
west of Portland, on the Pacific Coast bike route that goes from Canada
to Mexico. Cannon Beach is surrounded by two incredible state parks:
Ecola to the north and Oswald West to the south. Both offer hiking and
biking trails.
Mike Stanley opened this shop in 1974 after returning from an eight
month cycling world tour from Portland, Oregon to Paris, France. As
a member of the Oregon Recreational Trails Advisory Council he was influential
in establishing mountain bike trails. Mike's carries an complete line
or road and mountain bikes, accessories,
clothing and does bike repairs.

Mikes Bike Shop is easily accessible by public transportation via AMTRAK
or Air (PDX). A bus leaves the Portland AMTRAK station daily at 6 p.m.
and arrives in Cannon Beach (1st stop) at 7:45 p.m. Lodging can be accessed
via http://www.cannon-beach.net.
You also can return directly to Portland at 10:15 a.m. any day leaving
Cannon Beach at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $15 each way. Yes, Martha, we don't
have to take our gas guzzling SUV to Cannon Beach and spend $100 in
gas for a round trip from Seattle. Mike's Bike Shop has customers from
the West Coast who use this system and save sales taxes as well.
